Abstract Submission

Call for Abstract

The Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP) invites medical professionals, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to submit abstracts for the 47th Annual Conference, Gateway 2025, to be held from April 22 to April 27, 2025, in Abeokuta, Nigeria. This year’s conference, themed “Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain: The Role of Government and Private Medical Practitioners,” aims to explore how partnerships between the government and private practitioners can drive transformation in the Nigerian healthcare sector.

Conference Sub-Themes

We welcome abstracts that provide insights, research findings, and innovative solutions related to the following sub-themes:

  1. The “Japa” Syndrome: Impact on the National Health System and on Migrant Healthcare Workers
    Analyze the effects of the migration trend on Nigeria’s health system, as well as the experiences and contributions of healthcare workers abroad.
  2. Quackery in a Challenged Economy: Assessing the Magnitude of Its Impact on Healthcare Examine the prevalence of quackery in the health sector, its root causes, and its impact on patient outcomes in an economically challenged environment.
  3. 30 Years of NHIA: Evaluating Progress and Looking Forward Reflect on the National Health Insurance Authority’s achievements over the past three decades and propose pathways for future improvements.
  4. Vision for the Future: Transforming Nigerian Healthcare through Innovation, Policy, and Partnerships

Explore the role of innovative practices, policy reforms, and strategic partnerships in reshaping the healthcare landscape for the better.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract Length: Abstracts should be between 250-300 words.
  • Format: Include the title, author(s), affiliation(s), and sub-theme. All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Submission Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by 21st December, 2025.
  • Submission Portal: Please submit your abstracts via the form below
  • Notification of Acceptance: Authors of selected abstracts will be notified by 21st February, 2025.

Presentation Format

Selected abstracts will be presented in oral or poster formats during the conference.
